Why Does BC Have the Highest Drug Rates in Canada
Marijuana Industry: First off BC has a huge Marijuana industry and has the best Bud in the country and some of the best in the world, its been so entwined with people, and family's lives for generations, and with the legalization its only becoming more common. Well what does Marijuana have to do with other drugs? Marijuana isn't just a gateway drug for using, its also a gateway drug for selling. If you sell weed for a living, the likely hood of you ending up selling some harder stuff, knowing someone who sells harder stuff, or getting your weed from someone who sells harder stuff is very high. If you are a reliable coworker for your plug and have consistent income he might want to give you something to sell that'll increase your profit
Being Next to the Boarder and Ocean: Being so close to the US boarder and the ocean make BC an Ideal province to traffic into, whether to just put it into BC or to simply go through BC and get your drugs to other provinces and territory's. Not to mention with its already "booming" drug industry and demand, with it being so close its a nobrainer to come sell your drugs in BC. Being close to the ocean makes over seas shipping a viable option as well.
Weather and City's: With BC having the warmest climate i Canada it leads this simply being easier to do, people are much more active when its not negative 20 plus outside leading to more workers working more in the drug work force. Warm climate also brings homeless people, its better to be homeless in Vancouver of just BC than it is in somewhere that is negative 20 plus. With these factors and the fact that BC has big city's it leads to those factors acuring on a massive scale. The more people and more often you have people working the bigger the industry and having lots of homeless/lower class people you have an endless supply of costumers.

This link leads to a very large drug bust recently in Vancouver. They seized hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of drugs, hundreds of thousands for dollars and a very unsettling amount of fentenyl, all the drugs leading to a street value of 4 million dollars. They had intentions of selling the drugs in the downtown east side and to ship them to Vancouver island and Alberta. The take advantage of Vancouver's population and poverty to move there product and were using Vancouver as the shipping center for there product, in other words work from BC and move out to the other provinces.
