Serial and Mass Murder 

Serial:
Paul Bernardo, a serial rapist and murderer, did not have the greatest up bringing, his father was charged with child molestation, and his father also sexually assaulted his little sister. He was a cute kid, but as he got older he began to have very dark sexual fantasy's, he enjoyed humiliating women in public and beating the girls he dated. He then when on to commit many rapes, tortures and murders with his then wife Karla Homolka. Its hard to imagine why someone would commit these crimes, but it all comes back to his up bringing, he was raised by a man who treated women like dirt and also had sadistic sexual fantasies, that alone made his chances of committing sexual assault much greater. To stop these things we need to cut off the influence of ones parents, sense most sexual assaulters experienced some sort of assault in there childhood. If the parent is found guilty of some sort of assault, the kids should be taken away, or given the proper counselling and therapy tools that they'd need.

Mass:
Alexandre Bissonnette, responsible for the mosque shooting in Quebec leading to the death of 6 innocent people and seriously injuring 5 others. H claims the reasons for his action were not religious based or a hate crime, but he was simply scared of muslims committing terrorism so he thought he needed to protect his family and everyone else. Clearly the words of someone not in their right mind. The psychologist says that he was more likely to have been triggered by the so called intense bullying he suffered throughout school. Once again bringing it back to the murderers up bringing, to stop this sort of thing we must simply be kinder to one another, help those who are going through something, and make sure they get all the tools and mental help that they need

          Short Term and Long Term Effects of Being a Victim                    There are many short and long term effects of being a victim, depends especially on what you were a victim of. If you get robbed , you will have anxiety, be scared to go outside, obsessively think about the event leading to more anxiety and fear.
