Short Term and Long Term Effects of Being a Victim

There are many short and long term effects of being a victim, depends especially on what you were a victim of. If you get robbed , you will have anxiety, be scared to go outside, obsessively think about the event leading to more anxiety and fear. The majority of victims don't even have any physical effects oly mental, if you get robbed once and didn't get any injuries and its happend once in your whole life, the odds of it happening again are pretty slim, but your mind will still e rationally, and obsessively think about it and oftentimes you'll have an eerie feeling that its going to happen again. This anxiety can persist and will often worsen or even "mutate" into other mental issues. For more extreme events such as witnessing, or being the victim of a violent crime such as asault or sexual asault, it can be tough to cope with, expetially when the person doesnt want to seek help. What happens often is something happens to people, they dont ever want to remember the memorie so your brain try's to push it away and not deal with it, leading to the simptoms to worsen and can cause awful PTSD and just a poor quality of like when your whole thought process can all revolve around one devastating event. It can long term mentally ruin your life
