Does Social Media Effect Trial Social media can drastically effect trials, it generally makes the person seem extremely guilty before being proven guilty, like in Cassie Anthonys trial. Myself among many other people believe her to still be guilty, but we saw no unbiased reports. Media is to paint a picture, and is seen through a frame, so if your just fed bias information, you can easily be lead to believe what there trying to sell u on. Another bad effect, is that it can be nearly impossible to find an unbiast jurry, just like in Cassie Anthonys case. It can also indanger the accused, having your trial online and being portraid in a certain light, can make alot of people hate you. With them already seeing you as a monster, it can make reintegrating into society dangerous, and nearly impossible, expetially if your story gets alot attention. Trials simply shouldnt be broadcasted, you can't just give all this information, painting the accused a certain way, when it could be comple...
Colton Harris Moore Colton only did the acts, it was the media that gave him all the fame and turned him into a legend.  They could say whatever they wanted about him because no one had ever heard from him so there's no way of fact checking. I like Colton not because of his defiance, but because of the actions he committed , when you do almost the impossible multiple times and still are able to avoid arrest, and without physically harming anyone, its hard not to like the guy. The media focused less on the little thefts and focused more on the outrageous  stuff like the, stealing, flying, and crashing of airplanes, avoiding the police and stealing boats. It would suck to be a victim though, getting all your savings stolen would be awful, they made him seem like such a cool guy because they didn't focus on those actions,  particularly the fact that he stole money from average people. He would not have been the barefoot bandit, most people wouldn't know who he is, becau...
Anomie                       I have perceived lots of anomie, from the kids who are too poor to go too post secondary kids that are too poor to wear the latest fashion, kids that are too poor to go on school trips, kids that are considered too privileged so no one listen or care about there struggles or difficulty's because "your spoiled, you have it all" kind of thing. Anomie is caused by peoples social class, financial situation, there attitude and there surroundings. Their is many sources of strain as previously mentioned. People feel obligated to feel or be a certain way because that's just the way it is where they're from, that's how people act, that's what we can afford all that type of stuff.                       I've only gotten very minor labels, the most notable was when I went to the franchaphone school and from grade 5-6 me and my friends would always go to...
Short Term and Long Term Effects of Being a Victim                    There are many short and long term effects of being a victim, depends especially on what you were a victim of. If you get robbed , you will have anxiety, be scared to go outside, obsessively think about the event leading to more anxiety and fear. The majority of victims don't even have any physical effects oly mental, if you get robbed once and didn't get any injuries and its happend once in your whole life, the odds of it happening again are pretty slim, but your mind will still e rationally, and obsessively think about it and oftentimes you'll have an eerie feeling that its going to happen again. This anxiety can persist and will often worsen or even "mutate" into other mental issues. For more extreme events such as witnessing, or being the victim of a violent crime such as asault or sexual asault, it can be tough to cope with,...
Scooby Doo  By: Shaun Hawkes The creators of Scooby Doo often portray their characters in very certain, often stereotypical ways, since kids are the main consumers, it can lead them to have definitive ideas of things such as gender roles. Such as Fred the leader, a man who is suppose to always know what to do, be the leader, and be saught after by women. Shagy, The quirky, awkward, lanky, funny, and most of all hungry teenager, basically the stereotypical male teenager. Velma, the brains, shes supposed to be super smart and intellectual, normally taking things very literally, and although in the later shows she has relations with shaggy shes more suppose to be smart, not sexy, which shows young women at a young that there are 2 types of women, you're either fuckable, or invisible. Leading me to Daphnee the conplete opposite, generally portraid as a woman whos not the brightest, who just lust over Fred, and is portraid in a more sexual manner, and when she does figure something ...
Serial and Mass Murder  Serial: Paul Bernardo, a serial rapist and murderer, did not have the greatest up bringing, his father was charged with child molestation, and his father also sexually assaulted his little sister. He was a cute kid, but as he got older he began to have very dark sexual fantasy's, he enjoyed humiliating women in public and beating the girls he dated. He then when on to commit many rapes, tortures and murders with his then wife Karla Homolka. Its hard to imagine why someone would commit these crimes, but it all comes back to his up bringing, he was raised by a man who treated women like dirt and also had sadistic sexual fantasies, that alone made his chances of committing sexual assault much greater. To stop these things we need to cut off the influence of ones parents, sense most sexual assaulters experienced some sort of assault in there childh...
Professional Thief and Occasional thief            Professional thieves generally steal for a living or at least to make some income, they do it very often and are very professionally, they know what to do, have everything planned out leaving little to no room for error. Generally are the type of people to re offend, even after being incarcerated, almost never steal in the "heat of the moment " mostly pre meditated.                                        Occational thieves are the larger   percentage of  shopllifters , they dont do it very often, its impulsive most of the time not planned, they often only steal things that they want for themselves and not something  they'll  profit off of. They'll generally steal things with a lower risk then the profes...
